Taking a stroll in the Pretoria Botanical gardens

Background
On a cold but sunny winter's afternoon, a stroll in nature seemed like just the right thing to warm up the old bones and walk away the sorrows of life. So, my sister, my mother and I decided to do just that.
We only had about 45 minutes before the Botanical gardens closed for the day, so we took a speedy trip, taking pictures here and there. Entry was free, since my mom worked there and has lifelong free entry for her and her family.....we saved R 67-00, which we could later spend drinking cappuccinos.
You need a lot more time if you want to cover all the walking trails, but the brief time there did refuel the soul.

About Pretoria
Pretoria (Tshwane), in Gauteng Province, is the administrative capital of South Africa. Known as "Jacaranda City" for its thousands of Jacaranda trees, it's also home to universities and government buildings (Wikipedia).
About Botanical Gardens
The Pretoria National Botanical Garden is one of South Africa's nine National Botanical Gardens. The garden is wedged between Pretoria Road and Cussonia Avenue in Brummeria, in eastern Pretoria, Gauteng, and flanks a central rocky ridge that runs from east to west. The 76 hectares garden was established in 1946, and of late hosts the headquarters of the South African National Biodiversity Institute (Wikipedia).
